Vancouver, B.C. – April 19, 2005: Bumblz Media announces that two Ontario children’s retailers, Mastermind Toys and Play and Learn have agreed to sell Bumblz-brand videos in their stores. The deal is a significant step forward for the innovative Vancouver-based children’s entertainment company as it strives to identify vendors in markets across Canada to sell its animated videos and musical CD.

“We’re truly excited that Mastermind Toys and Play and Learn now carry Bumblz. Ontario is a key market for Bumblz and with the continued support of these top notch Canadian retailers, we can share Bumblz adventures with children and parents living in throughout the province,” said Bumblz Media President, Ed Konyha.

Bumblz now has over 50 retailers across Canada selling its inaugural DVD, Bumblz: Clubhouse Friends, and newly released music CD, Bumblz Tunes: Songs in the Key of Bee. Parents from across Canada can now purchase Bumblz titles in stores in Victoria, Vancouver, Edmonton, Saskatoon, Toronto, Montreal and Ottawa.

“We are happy to add the Bumblz product line to our stores. It’s always a pleasure to add a fun preschool series like this to our existing brands,” said Jon Levy, Co Founder, Mastermind Toys.

“The Bumblz series is appealing to children as well as adults,” says Sandy Nicholl, co-owner of Play and Learn based in Kingston, Ontario. “Children enjoy the lovable characters and the catchy tunes while parents and teachers appreciate the messages of teamwork and positive social interaction displayed by the Bumblz Gang on their adventures.”

Bumblz Media made their Canadian debut into the children’s entertainment sector in July 2004 with only two Vancouver retailers – Kidsbooks and Chickpea, respectively – carrying its videos. By December 2004, fifteen stores were distributing the company’s products and that number has nearly quadrupled in the past four months.

“Canadians are starting to discover and embrace Bumblz. There is obviously a desire among parents for original, intelligent, Canadian-made entertainment for young children,” said Konyha. “Because of this growing demand for new content, we plan to add a second video titled Bumblz: The Pirate’s Treasure, in the fall of 2005.”

Bumblz is an animated home video series about a bee named Bumblz and his friends: Slomo Inchworm, Corky Cricket, Spinny Spider and Fuzette Moth. Together, The Bumblz Gang set out on fun adventures to solve problems, sing songs and make new friends. Bumblz Media is dedicated to producing innovative, non-violent children’s entertainment and educational content. The Bumblz leadership team consists of series creators Ed and Dan Konyha and Music Director, Dag Livgard.
