Last weekend we received another nod from the North American music industry as Bumblz songwriter, Dag Livgard, was awarded second place in the Rock Division of the Pacific Northwest Songwriting Competition.

Dag was recognized for his work on the song, “Loving Mother” which is featured on our second DVD, Bumblz: the Pirate’s Treasure and our second CD, Bumblz Tunes, the Bee Sides. One of the celebrity judges in the contest was Tal Bachman (pictured above, left with Dag), son of Rock Legend Randy Bachman of The Guess Who and Bachman-Turner Overdrive (Better known as “BTO”). Tal Bachman had a hit in 2000 with his song, “She’s So High”, which reached number 1 on the Billboard charts.
We are going to be posting Bumblz Video Blogs to update our family, friends and fans about the latest Bumblz-related news.
Some of these blogs will be business-related and others will cover production news related to the Bumblz DVD and Music CD series. We’re going to enlist Dag to do a few here and there, whenever he can find the time.
Please share these Bumblz Video Blogs with any family and friends with children age 0-6, as this is part of an on-going grassroots effort to expand our ever-expanding fan base so that we can ultimately create the full-blown Bumblz Animated Series.
Thanks to all of you for your support to date – with a special shout out to our dear friend, Jacqueline Stoeckler, who directed this first chapter.

Bumblz made his presence known at the annual “Car-Free Day” here in Vancouver.
Car-Free Day is a popular event held every June and always attracts huge crowds, many of the attendees being parents with children. This was our first appearance at Car-Free Day and it was a big hit. Our table on Denman Street drew a regular stream of traffic and attracted viewers of all ages. The reaction from parents and children was outstanding and we made a load of new fans.
